ontract Personnel are recruting on behalf of a Manufacturing company based in Norwich - we're looking for a candidate that's an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator. Please see an overview of the requirements below. Experience and Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience in operating CNC turning machines. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Ability to set up, adjust, and calibrate CNC machines as per specifications. Machining Skills: Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges). Skilled in selecting and changing cutting tools and adjusting offsets to ensure quality production. Knowledge of different materials and their machining requirements. Programming and Software Knowledge: Experienced in CNC programming using manually written G-code and CAD/CAM systems, ideally Hexagon EDGECAM or Fusion360. Ability to troubleshoot programming or machining issues efficiently. Quality Control and Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in finished products. Adherence to quality control procedures and standards to meet specifications. Safety and Compliance: Understanding of safety protocols and compliance regulations in a manufacturing environment. Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area. Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Capability to identify and resolve machining issues or inefficiencies. Adaptability to work on different projects and adjust to changing priorities. Team Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors. Willingness to learn and share knowledge within the team. Salary & Benefits: Minimum of 39.5 hours per week @ £13.00 an hour, with overtime being paid at £19.50 per hour.
