Art Director At Adams Outdoor Advertising, we’re looking to take Out Of Home where it’s never been before. As the oldest advertising medium in existence, we’re tasked with reinventing the rectangle every day. We give brands a voice that elevates them, literally, beyond all expectations. It’s tough. But, oh so worth it. Job Overview The Art Director role is for big thinkers only. Our ADs create and implement head-turning campaigns as well as oversee design executions for OOH in multiple markets across the nation. Working closely with Graphic Designers, Marketing Strategists, and Account Executives, ADs need to identify client problems and develop effective OOH solutions. ADs lead the creative conversation directly with clients of all scales; from local tire shops to national fast-food chains. Reports to Creative Director. Who We Want Unstoppably savvy creative strategists who know their way around succinct, hard-hitting copy. ADs’ need discerning eyes for craft and execution in typography and imagery, but also experienced knowledge for when enough is enough during the creative process. Decisive. Judicious. ADs are conceptual miners who naturally dig deep, well beyond Round One ideas, and settle for nothing less than greatness. Passionate about helping clients find and formulate their message. In short, they care, and it’s evident throughout all of their work. Responsibilities (What you’ll be doing) Collaborate with Creative Director, other Art Directors and Graphic Designers Discuss and develop strategies for clients of all sizes Ideate, write, and design out of home campaigns for an array of clients Coordinate and communicate with Clients and Account Executives Motivate and inspire members of the account team Being updated with the latest writing, design, typographic, and photography trends Requirements (Stuff you need to get in the door) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design or advertising, or a good heap of related experience Proven work experience as an Art Director or similar role Strong copywriting; brand appropriate, clever, and to the point Highly motivated and goal oriented Excellent multitasking skills Critical thinking and problem-solving ability Strong organizational skills (if you frequently lose your keys, might want to brush up on this one) Strong interpersonal and communication skills (you’ll take tons of calls with people in other states) Quick, energetic and proactive If this sounds like something you’d be into, even enthusiastic about—throw your hat in the ring.
