SUMMARY: The Rape/Sexual Assault Counselor provides in office trauma informed individual and group therapy and other services to adult victims of current or past rape/sexual assault and works with other agency units to ensure wrap around service delivery. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide trauma informed individual and group counseling and crisis intervention Work closely with our Crisis Center, Legal Services, DV Shelter, Children’s Mental Health and other units Attend weekly supervision sessions Complete and maintain client records in agency database Provide appropriate referrals for clients to receive advocacy, case management, legal, housing and any other additional services, as well as following up to assure that services are being delivered Perform additional tasks as needed QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Creative Arts Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or equivalent NY State licensure or eligible for limited permit Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Clinical experience preferred Diagnostic clinical experience required Experience working with survivors of abuse and/or training in trauma treatment strongly preferred Commitment to a strengths-based approach Experience with Article 31 Clinic services a plus HOURS, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Full-time, non-exempt (35 hours/week) LCSW supervision Some evenings required Includes medical, dental, vision benefits and a generous paid time off package Access to National EAP services Annual salary: $50,000-$55,000 To apply, please send cover letter and resume to XXXX@tscli.org The Safe Center LI is an equal opportunity employer.
