How You’ll Add Value The HVAC is a new department, and as the HVAC Refrigeration Master Mechanic, your role involves installing, diagnosing, and repairing commercial and residential HVAC systems. You will work alongside design professionals and other team members to ensure that the systems are adequately installed and functioning as intended. Your direct supervisor will be the General Superintendent. How You’ll Get It Done Follow all policies and procedures per the Site Specific Health and safety program. Follow and interpret blueprints to assess or plan HVAC installations and layouts. Inspect and test HVAC and Refrigerant systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance. Extensive knowledge of all HVAC and Refrigeration systems. Ability to fabricate offsets, install equipment, and perform basic take-offs Installs hangers and supports for all HVAV and Refrigeration systems. Applies skills, experience, and general knowledge to complete the maintenance, repair, and installation tasks associated with the HVAC and Refrigeration systems. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site at all times. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welder torches, vacuum pumps, and test equipment. Maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition; maintain parts and tool inventory. At times, coordination of other trades to support your work will be required. What You’re Bringing to the Table A HVAC and Refrigeration Master Mechanical license required. OSHA 10 Certification Required at hire / OSHA 30 expected within 6 months of employment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines and efficiently execute all the tasks assigned Sound understanding of all safety regulations and norms for working with HVAC tools. Proficiency in reading blueprints Ability to work with a general contractor and other trades present on job Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of at least 50 lbs. or more, climb ladders, climb stairs, stooping, and work in tight areas Site Specific is an equal opportunity employer.
