We are looking for a talented and motivated individual as a Part-time to Fulltime Intern in Embedded Software Engineering. The right candidate will have the opportunity to be a contributor in firmware development and implementation for our Pro AV products . This is a hands-on, part-time, temporary position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position. BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Assist and participate in firmware development, design and review for new products and prototypes. Modify firmware for improved product performance and the addition of new features. Document firmware designs and code with specifications and source comments and create end user documentation. Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering. Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations. Participate in lab maintenance. Other responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION : Student enrolled in at least a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent. SKILLS : Preliminary hands-on experience in C. Preliminary hands-on experience with developing firmware for Arm Cortex M/ STM32 Micro-controllers. Preliminary hands-on experience with peripheral communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PWM). Applied scripting techniques (shell scripting, Perl, Python) to improve efficiency. Knowledge of hardware schematics. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
