Join Vet Care on its path to becoming a leading acquirer and operator of animal hospitals in Canada! We are seeking a Controller to join our dynamic, entrepreneurial corporate team based in Vancouver and committed to a hybrid model (with 2-3 days per week in the office). This role will be instrumental in leading a team to deliver detailed operational financial results on a regular basis. Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Controller is responsible for providing a range of financial support to the growth and effective management of Vet Care and its various business units and clinics. This role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, extreme attention to detail, and consistently accurate, high quality financial expertise. You are a strategic thinker with strong attention to detail, and your exceptional organizational skills, strong values, and creative-thinking, will be a great fit with the team. Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Work closely with the broader Finance Team to support the unit’s mandate and to prioritize projects while defining processes and procedures to increase efficiency. Manage Vet Care’s shared services including: Payables and payments Payroll services; oversee payroll administration including all payroll processing, and standing data changes Compliance (GST/HST, PST, Work Safe and equivalents, EHT, Income Tax); review of T2 compilations, working with Vet Care’s external tax team Inventory management including planning and.
