JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE  Responsible for the fabrication of various metal parts through various processes and methods including bending, forming, punching, or other operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Consults blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure; develops additional sketches if needed. Selects appropriate material, technique, and tool(s) for each job based on job specifications and requirements. Programs press brake controller and installs/adjusts tooling according to specifications and/or drawings. Bends metal pieces to specification following work orders, drawings, and/or directions. Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs. Coordinates with other process owners to ensure seamless transition of the production process. Uses discretion and sound judgement skills to make independent, task-specific decisions. Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards. Ensures proper utilization of required PPE and task-specific tools and equipment to ensure the highest level of safety for self and others. Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. Follows all company and job-specific safety rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned, such as operating a machine or other related tasks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES  Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand product assignment. Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment. Ability to complete fabrication projects with accuracy and precision. Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work. Demonstrated ability to operate independently with little to no direct oversight or supervision. Demonstrated use of discretion and sound judgement skills to make task-specific decisions. Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable safety, health and environmental regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATIONS & INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE  High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to demonstrate required proficiency level/competency to successfully perform job.Powered by JazzHR
