Job descriptionSmith Brothers Tool Company established in 1981 manufactures a variety of tool fabrication solutions for the Space, Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive industries. We are a premier machining, weld fabrication, and tooling shop that provides in-house design, engineering, building, and certification capabilities. Design and tool fabrication include assembly tools, lay-up tools, large and small checking tools, mill fixtures, and more. Some of our customers include Boeing, Bell Helicopter, GE Aviation, and Honda Aircraft Company. We are looking for the right person to join our team! Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for preparing, fitting and welding materials (steel, aluminum, and Invar)Fabricates from blueprintsWill use various types of welding methodsPrepares and grinds materials to be welded and fabricatedUses tape measure and various other measuring methods to insure accuracyAdditional job duties as assigned.Skills and Competencies: Minimum of 5 years experience Welder/ Fabricator in the Aerospace industry.Knowledge of geometric tolerancesMust have experience and understand aircraft tooling AWS requirements (D1.1, D1.2, and D17.1)Able to read and understand blueprintsGood math, verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organization and follow up skillsMust understand deadlines and how they impact the overall businessExperience with ISO 9001 and AS91000 Quality standards desiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent.The company offers an excellent benefits package to include the following: Health insurance with $0 employee contribution plan .Vision and dental insurance benefits.Life, Accident, & Disability insurance benefits are 100% paid for by companyHSA ( Health Savings Plan) offered with large employer contribution.401(k) Plan with MatchPaid Holidays and Paid Time Off after eligibility.Weekly pay and overtime when required.
