Position: Podiatrist Part-Time / Non-Benefited Hours: Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Worksite: Santa Rosa Department: Medical FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Medical Director Salary Range: $86.54 to $141.98 per hour Application Closing Date: Open until filled Job Purpose: Under the general direction of the Medical Director, the Podiatrist is responsible for providing ongoing quality foot care to the Sonoma County Indian Health Project, Inc patients, both routine and complex foot problems. The Podiatrist promotes good foot care and prevention of complications in high-risk groups. The Podiatrist will diagnose and treat minor and serious injuries and diseases of the feet, ankles, and the lower part of legs, apply treatment for such issues as arthritis, fractures, feet corns and calluses. Qualifications: Hold & maintain a current, valid, and unrestricted Podiatric license with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant clinical experience in a Health Care Facility preferred. Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities. Familiar with a wide range of foot problems including genetic abnormalities and deformities. Empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases. Reliability and punctuality required. Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to write clearly and accurately. The job requires writing important medical information about/for patients and co-workers. Must be CPR certified or attend a SCIHP CPR training to become certified. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation. MUST have proof of completed COVID vaccines, booster, and annual Flu vaccine.
