We are looking for an accountant to assist with accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Main Points Onsite in Baltimore, MD (Hybrid possibility after 90 days) Pay: 60-65k Bank Reconciliation experience required Bachelors Degree Required Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. Job Duties Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results Analyze financial information and summarize financial status Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending Provide technical support and advice on Management accountant Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule Assist with tax audits and tax returns Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance Support month-end and year-end close process Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Skills Proven at least 1+ years of experience as accountant Knowledge of the construction industry, budget, and construction-related experience is preferred Proven experience in Banking or similar industry Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks. Advanced in Quickbooks, MS Excel skills including pivot tables BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant experience Requirements Bachelors Degree Preferred (HS Degree required) Bank reconciliation experience 1+ years of professional experience in accounting field Powered by JazzHR
