A rare opportunity is available for an Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join a growing women---s health practice in a charming seaside community in Maine's exclusive and highly desirable "Midcoast" region. Damariscotta is just an hour north of Portland, Maine's largest city. This beautiful area of Maine offers a wonderful quality of life! Positions in this highly sought-after location are uncommon --- as turnover is very low. You will join a seasoned OB/GYN, a team of certified midwives, and women---s health NPs all practicing in a modern, award winning 25-bed community hospital with EMR throughout. This rewarding practice has an excellent mix of obstetrics and surgery, averaging approx. 125 births and about 100 surgical cases per year. Enjoy a convenient schedule of just 4 days per week! If selected, you will earn a very competitive compensation package with a salary based upon your schedule, a signing bonus, and excellent benefits including paid relocation assistance, 6 weeks of paid vacation, paid time off and a budget for your CME, retirement plan with employer matching, and help with your student loans, if applicable. Damariscotta is a picturesque coastal town that is home to working fishermen, multi-generational families, and many seasonal residents and tourists. Residents enjoy terrific local schools, all high school students attend the prestigious Lincoln Academy just minutes away. The town offers excellent community facilities including a well-equipped YMCA, local antique shops, art galleries, dining includes both quaint cafes and 5-star dinner restaurants.-- This position is just one hour north of Portland. Portland has an international Jetport, the famous Old Port district, hosts sporting events and concerts not to mention the numerous dining and shopping options.
