Job Description Total Behavioral Health is looking for a licensed Psychiatrist located in the Austin, Houston, Dallas area who is familiar with the supervision of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP's) This is a supervisory position, and as per the Texas Medical Board (TMB) guidelines, the Psychiatrist will supervise, with prescriptive authority, up to 7 full-time equivalent APPs. This includes monthly, in-person or remote/virtual chart reviews with each APP supervised. The individual must also be available throughout the week for questions and consultations via phone and text with supervised individuals as needed (average of 4-8 hours per week). This position is not full-time, and is perfect for a retired (or semi-retired) physician looking for added-income and an opportunity to mentor other licensed health professionals. Total Primary Care is a large primary care system with clearly defined protocols, a great culture, and best-in-class patient reviews and satisfaction.
