Description:
Our client is currently seeking a SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER in Michigan. The Supply Chain Manager in a manufacturing setting is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement of raw materials to distribution of finished products. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and management of various supply chain activities to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Continuously analyze market trends and customer demand to make informed decisions.Procurement: Manage procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of raw materials and components while optimizing costs.Inventory Management: Implement inventory control policies to minimize carrying costs while ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production demands. Implement inventory tracking systems for accuracy.Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to create production schedules that maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and meet customer demand.Logistics and Distribution: Oversee the transportation of materials and finished products, including selecting carriers, optimizing routes, and managing warehousing operations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred.Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.Proficiency in using supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
