Overview Virtek Vision International is a leading provider of precision laser-based templating andinspection solutions. We serve customers worldwide in the aerospace, prefabricatedconstruction, transportation and manufacturing industries. Our solutions enablecustomers to produce their products better, faster and at a lower cost. Responsibilities As an integral member of the Finance team and reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, this role is a hands-on accounting position. Responsibilities include general accountingfunctions, and liaising with order entry staff to resolve issues. Functions will include, but not be limited to: Maintain both asset module and excel spreadsheets for multiple deferred revenue elements including both point in time and over time aspects. Maintain asset module for fixed assets and various intangible assets, including accounting for patents. Working with Operations to resolve inventory related accounting. Weekly accounting/tracking for above financial areas. Month end responsibilities for working papers for the above accounts plus warranty and lease accounting. Supporting various Statistics Canada reporting throughout the year Supporting income tax compliance filings for global operations Supporting corporate registrations through agencies. Monitoring internal controls and adherence to Corporate accounting policies Skills and Expertise required: CPA designation is required with a solid understanding of US GAAP / IFRS, with a minimum of two-years post qualification experience Strong Excel skills (i. e. Pivot Tables; VLOOKUP, SUMIF) Experience with ERP/MRP and CRM systems is an asset Excellent planning and organizational skills Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities Ability to work with minimum supervision and to be a committed team player Powered by Jazz HR.
