Sacred Waters is the economic development arm of the Katzie, Kwantlen and Semiahmoo Nations – pursuing sustainable projects and opportunities for the Nations within their shared and unceded traditional territories. Right now we are urgently looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Business Operations Manager who will help with the strategic roadmap of the company. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the internal operations of Sacred Waters Development. This includes managing operational systems processes, administration, and the development of internal control procedures. In addition, this role will act as an administrative support to the CEO. This is an exciting new role for Sacred Waters Development as we begin different projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a start-up or small business that has successfully scaled. You are required to have excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills. In addition, you have a strategic mindset and are looking for an opportunity to rapidly grow and take on new challenges. Please note we will only contact candidates who will progress in the process. Who we are: In 2022, the Katzie, Kwantlen and Semiahmoo Nations established Sacred Waters, a joint economic development company, to build the Nations’ capacity to benefit from economic development opportunities within the shared territory. Sacred Waters is intended to play a role in this journey through real estate development, establishing strategic and sustainable ventures aligned with Nation’s needs and the creation of partnerships to achieve these ambitions. As Coast Salish people, the relationship between the Katzie, Kwantlen, and Semiahmoo First Nations is based on a shared language, similar cultural and spiritual practices, a strong connection.
