Employment Opportunity Job Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW) Job Types: Permanent Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual positions available. Salary: $24.64-$27.17 per hour rate includes a temporary $3 wage enhancement Work Location: 643 W Gore St, Stratford, ON N5A 1L4 At Spruce Lodge we put “People first”. We are patient and people focused and hoping to add like-minded caring individuals to our team! If you are a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) we want to hear from you! We are hiring permanent part-time PSWs. There are a variety of shifts available, based on availability provisions. Job duties include: Supporting our residents through the delivery of the highest quality of personal care Working as a key member of Spruce Lodge’s multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ individual needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care Fostering excellent relationships with residents, their families and the Spruce Lodge care team to deliver care focusing on flexible living and quality of life Our Personal Support Workers (PSW) assist our residents with all daily living activities. They support residents with personal hygiene care, as well as basic nursing care, companionship and activities. Our PSWs know our residents and are quickly able to identify and report any changes in the resident’s well-being to the Registered Practical Nurse or Charge Nurse. Qualifications: Hold a valid PSW Certificate that is 600 hours or greater and meets the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities, the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges, or the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association OR Experience working as a PSW, PCA or equivalent based on international education and have the ability to acquire the above mentioned if requested.
