It ranks among the world’s largest developers and distributors of emergency refuge chambers, and is now a leading supplier of wireless communications, electronic tracking and proximity detection for underground mining and tunneling.The Service Technician will be responsible for installations and technical support of systems such as, but not limited to, Strata Digital Bridge Plus Leaky Feeder, Strata fiber and high-speed data networking components, Strata CommTrac Wireless Communications and Tracking, HazardAvert® Proximity Detection Systems, and Cap Lamps. They will also provide support, maintenance, inspection and repair on underground emergency refuge chambers.The Field Service Technician reports to the General Manager and works closely with members of other departments. This position is Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime pay). Some of the Essential Duties: • Installs and commissions Safety Product Systems. • Services, repairs, maintains Safety Product Systems. • Provides professional service and technical support to Customers. • Serves as a technical expert to Customers. • Provides product training to Customers. • Supports, maintains, inspects and repairs underground mine refuge chambers. • Performs other functions and duties as needed and/or as assigned.
