Network Administrator - Tier 2

Vero Broadband was founded in Colorado in 2022 to build fiber networks for underserved schools. Since that time, we have grown to serve over 50 school districts throughout the US and have expanded our focus to serve the broader community including both residential and business customers. We now have multiple fiber networks supporting communities across Colorado and we are making plans for more in 2023. The primary purpose of this position is to be a lead technical support to our Enterprise and Business customers including maintenance and technical support to their current infrastructure, provisioning and turn up of new customers and constant interaction with Technical Support and Engineering. Principal Accountabilities: Monitoring of internal and external networks across a multi-vendor environment Carrying out initial triage diagnosis on faults and proactively escalating issues as required Prioritizing faults to meet SLAs, including resource management of external contractors Perform collaborative tier 2 network technical support, notification and escalation. Mentor contractors and provide feedback to support teams on troubleshooting repair and full-filling work requests. Perform root cause analysis on all network issues. Task management and provision telecommunication services with internal and external locations. Vendor coordination and management of moves, adds changes and deletes of network service requests, not limited to but including system administration of network management systems. Create technical documentation and make improvements to processes and procedures. Perform preventative maintenance for both network hardware and software replacement. Fault isolation and repair tasks on all network elements Responsible for the management of fault receipt, fault identification & logging, support team dispatch and fault management to resolution Ensuring service availability and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) targets are met Key Skills and Experience: 2 - 4 years (minimum) proven NOC experience in the telecommunications industry with a proven record of accomplishment in an operational environment. Experienced in Cambium Fixed wireless, LTE Telrad, Ubuity GPON and Fixed Wireless, Calix XGS-PON E7, Juniper Router (Junos), Suklu Radio, Drangowave Radio, ZTE GPON, KEA DHCP servers and power DNS Troubleshooting Transport and IP customer trouble tickets on DWDM / SDH and Ethernet networks. Highly proficient in Google Workspace or O365 5 years of experience in managing and working with LANs/WANS, TCP, UDP, IP, VoIP phones, routers, and switches required. 5 years of experience in task management and project management required. One Year Certificate from College or Tech School Computer Science related required. Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Computer Science preferred.
