Our Company is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Residential Construction Project Manager (with additional Commercial Construction PM experience) who is customer-focused and dedicated to elevating the customer experience with measurable objectives that support the company’s long-term vision. Responsible for managing the complete functions/departments of construction projects for the company. Ensures that strategic objectives of the company, as they relate to construction projects, are carried out successfully and that all Company projects are completed on time and on budget. Ensures proper systems and procedures are in place to ensure goals are achieved consistently. Personally aligned with our Company’s core values and demonstrates them with intention and action. “Scope of Work” is completed to the standards of “Artisan Quality Workmanship” that our Company maintains and all communications necessary to deliver on this goal are executed in a timely and professional manner. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Holds responsibility for success of projects assigned, including project planning, detailed daily field reports (job logs), safety and general oversight to deliver every project on time and budget. Preparation and management of detailed project construction schedule. Works with customers to ensure they order allowance items, in particular long lead time items, well in advance to ensure these items will be ready and available when they are needed. Responsible for managing daily activities of projects, coordinating with others to ensure that jobs are clean and well organized. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of job safety and compliance in following all procedures and practices, conducting regular project progress meetings, and fostering teamwork among all involved parties. Maintains open, daily communication with field staff and clients. Manages the Change Order process from estimate to signing. Manages and controls project costs, completes estimated hours and costs to complete reports. Performs regular update meetings with field, client, and senior manager. Fosters an enthusiastic, creative, "can do" attitude, and shares responsibility for the Company and overall department success in reaching its goals and helping to develop the team. Performs other duties and supports special projects, as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Role requires supervision of an Assistant Project Manager/Various subcontractors. Competencies: Time Management Organizational Skills Database Management Collaboration & Teamwork Communication & Interpersonal Skills Cost Management Critical Thinking/Problem Solving Risk Management Strategic Planning Project Management Education, Experience, & Qualifications : Associate/bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience required. Five (5) years of equivalent or related experience, with project management experience required. (Commercial and general contractor experience highly preferred.) Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace – Bilingual skills are a plus. (English/Spanish) Understands design intent and works through high levels of detail, ability to read and interpret plans, details, and specifications. Can visualize in three dimensions from two-dimensional data. Computer literacy – computer estimating, complete competency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and industry specific software for managing change orders, job costs, and related project commitments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and work flows simultaneously, both independently and as a team. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Ability to effectively communicate with a diversity of individuals at all levels and from various backgrounds. Must be able to exercise judgment and ensure discretion and confidentiality. Physical & Mental Demands The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will need to regularly lift and/or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 75lbs. The employee is also regularly required to communicate information and ideas effectively so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception. Read, analyze, and interpret data (emails, blueprints, memos, letters, etc.); maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time. Work Environment Regular and predictable attendance is required. Workdays and hours coincide with job site and/or office hours. This job operates mostly in the office, with occasional visits to construction sites reviewing progress and meeting with project stakeholders. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and various digital devices.
