ADS is seeking an Engineer that can perform in-depth engineering analysis of security related systems to determine potential for further development, production, Interface to other systems, and usefulness in the homeland security environment. MUST HAVE CURRENT DHS SUITABILITY OR CURRENT SECRET CLEARANCE AT OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. Entry Level (0-2 years experience) Assists in the preparation of technical plans, reports, and technology studies Reviews and comments on past and present work related to specific research areas; Prepares briefing material on ongoing activities; Attends meetings with customer and other relevant contractor personnel in order to better understand engineering issues related to transportation security. Experienced (6+ years) Writes test plans and procedures Conducts test, collects test data, and prepares test/program assessment reports. Capable of developing work breakdown structures, identification of critical path elements to project accomplishment, and tracking of project activities. Has above average communication skills and is able to write with little supervision project documents, including project plans, test plans and procedures, data analysis reports, project final reports. Has experience in system automation, data collection, analysis, and presentation. Proficient in the use of personal computers and has working knowledge of commercial software programs. Expert level (12+ years) Witnesses test performance Prepares test/program assessment reports Briefs government staff on ongoing activities Interviews government and non-government people to improve system engineering knowledge. Can complete project life cycle work (planning, development, execution, termination), develop work breakdown structures, PERT/CPM critical path working knowledge, project budgets, and tracking of project activities. Has good communication skills and is able to write with little or no supervision project documents, including project plans, test plans and procedures, data analysis reports, project final reports. Has working knowledge of commercial project management software programs. This position has openings for Entry Level, Experienced, and Expert - level roles This may have an option for Hybrid work with a minimum requirement to visit on site in Atlantic City. Qualifications: Must be located near Atlantic City, NJ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering; with 2, 6, 12+ years experience Or a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in engineering and have at least 6 or more years of experience; (Expert Level) Or Ph.D. degree in natural science (e.g. physics, chemistry, biology) from an accredited college or university. (Expert Level) Experience is that which demonstrates a professional knowledge of Systems development and technology development. Professional knowledge is defined as the comprehensive, In-depth knowledge of systems engineering and advanced technology development. Good leadership skills, and good written and oral communications. MUST HAVE CURRENT DHS SUITABILITY OR CURRENT SECRET CLEARANCE AT OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. Powered by JazzHR
