We operate as a start-up while benefiting from the Michelin Group reputation and support.The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a key sales team member responsible for acquiring new government customers, contributing to strategic plans, and scaling the MMI activity. The BDM uses their background in tech sales and experience working with governments and/or engineering firms to educate, negotiate, and convert leads.What you'll doYou will report directly to the Vice President, Sales & Partnerships. Success in this role stems from being proactive, collaborative, and strategic. You will:Build relevant US commercial pitches and proposals to educate, negotiate, and closeAnalyze data and trends to grow opportunities in the North American market in line with revenue and profitability goalsDevelop plans and introduce Michelin Mobility Intelligence solutions to new customersPartner with Marketing to deliver insights to the business, refine the lead generation process, report on campaign performance, and generate actionable plansProvide a thorough understanding of MMI markets, competitors, and customer needs to improve our go to market approachCreate a strong business relationship with all the key partners within the Michelin GroupExecute Operational Marketing initiatives in combination with the marketing team at select events and conferencesWhat you'll bringA must: At least three years of demonstrated success in Business to Government (B2G) sales and/or business development (preferably in tech or civil engineering industries)At least 5 years of sales experienceProficiency with CRM and GIS softwareGovernment grant application, writing, or award experience a major plusPassion for smart infrastructure, safety, and selling mobility tech solutionsAnd most importantly, you are agile, innovative, a quick learner and results-orientedThis is a remote position with approximately 25% business travel.#LI-CS1Inspire Motion for Life: Apply Today!As the leading mobility company, we work with tires, around tires and beyond tires to enable Motion for Life.
