Management Trainee Intern ID 2023-2220 Category Management & Supervision Division Green Bay Shipping Container Division Position Overview The Production Supervisor Intern position directs the daily operations of a production team operating on a rotating 3-shift schedule. Responsible for leading teams in the various processes of the production of corrugated containers in a safe, cost effective manner, and ensuring that product meets all customer and company standards. Responsibilities Assures that crew members work safely and follow all plant rules and policies. Will coach or discipline employees when necessary.Acts as a problem solver for production crews when needed.Works with all crews to strive for maximum efficiencies in machine production, set up times and run speeds.Monitors machine run efficiencies and addresses issues preventing goal attainment.Engages crews in activities to look for ways to streamline daily processes.Acts as the conduit for communication between employees and management.Works with production planning department to prioritize jobs, workflow and crew assignments. Coordinates material movement required for daily work assignments.Monitors the workflow and material levels within their assigned area and shifts employees to the areas of most need.Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Monitors and maintains the housekeeping level within their assigned department.Other duties as assigned by Department Manager. Qualifications During the internship, individual will be trained on the operation and capabilities of multiple pieces of corrugated converting/printing equipment. Will learn the basics of people management and be mentored by supervisor staff. Will work directly with the Scheduling and Design departments to monitor efficiencies of crews and project runs to offer recommendations for future runs.
