Job Overview:Deliver natural and conventional merchandise to various independent retail customers.Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:--Ensure compliance with company procedures as outlined in UNFI Drivers' Handbook and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (DOT)Perform required vehicle safety inspections before, during and after dispatchComply with federal hours of service requirementsCorrectly execute daily log and trip reportImmediately report all accidents involving company equipment to appropriate managerComply with Federal and State mandated traffic laws and established company safety proceduresMaintain basic familiarity and compliance with FMCS regulationsMaintain schedule of deliveries per dispatch instructionsJob Requirements:----Valid Class A CDL licenseMinimum of 1 year of tractor trailer driving experienceClean driver record.Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidaysGood customer service skillsAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to lift cases weighing up to 95 pounds in customer assist deliveriesAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
