Work close to home in Woodstock, GA with a fast growing firm! Immediate growth related opportunity for a Staff Accountant. Job Description The Staff Accountant provides support to the Controller and Assistant Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting & Finance Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Daily cash reporting and posting • Posting of journal entries to general ledger • Preparation of weekly dashboards as needed • Preparation and maintenance of various schedules including fixed asset schedule, prepaid schedules, lease schedules, straight line rent schedules • Assist with month-end close process • Bank reconciliations • Support A/P activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry • Assist in implementation of business process improvements • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment • Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data • Must have excellent work habits, strong work ethic, and ability to balance workload with competing priorities • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required • Knowledge of US GAAP required • 0 - 3 years of progressively responsible experience in industry or at accounting firm preferable but will also consider recent graduates with strong academic performance from a reputable college or university.
