Responsibilities New opportunity for a Junior-level Cost Accountant to assist with management of our cost accounting systems. Reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager, primary responsibilities are to maintain the standard costing system with accurate product costing and inventory valuation, and analyze and validate manufacturing costs and variances as part of the month-end close process.Assist with management of cost and inventory accounting systems, and drive improvement of COGS and manufacturing variance reporting accuracyPrepare cost accounting and inventory analyses supporting financial closing, and review with management monthlyPartner with cost accounting team to ensure accurate information by legal entity and business unitSupport the annual physical inventory and/or cycle counting programPerform trending and other analyses to provide valuable financial insight to cost managementOperate within, and evidence the adherence to applicable internal controlsPerform other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting requiredMinimum 2 years recent work experience in cost accounting or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment requiredBasic knowledge of standard costing principles requiredFamiliarity with the monthly financial close process from a cost accounting perspectiveExperience supporting both internal and external audits helpfulAdvanced proficiency with MS ExcelWorking knowledge of medium-large company ERP environment highly preferredSAP experience preferredStrong verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills, with fluency in written and spoken EnglishSolid analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detailInitiative taking, hands on approach. Results orientation with a high level of professional curiosityPossesses leadership, collaboration, and influencing abilities, with a drive for innovationValid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.May be required to obtain a passport and travel internationally.May be required to pass security clearance investigation. At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $66,133 and $107,200 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a number of job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
