About this Position: We are seeking a proactive planner with a focus for the details and on driving results to be the department leader for the HR Business Operations and Planning team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in business planning, understanding HR operations and aligning these activities to further HR's business goals. The following are key areas of focus for the role: * Business Planning / Strategy* Budgeting* HR Technology* Project Management* US-bound Expat (Inpat) The role facilitates decision-making across HR units and serves as a point of contact to department and divisional leaders by directing budget and planning requirements, overseeing the PMO and HR Technology functions, and serves as the coordination function for all Japanese inpat administrative services. You will also have high visibility to senior leadership either to provide updates on business planning or facilitation of the process. Responsibilities include:* Business Planning/Strategy/Reporting & Budget:o Leads HR business planning requirements by prioritizing, monitoring, and tracking strategic and general HR operating plans; Facilitates the development of HR strategy and planning communications to AHM and other Honda Leaders.o Complete required Honda Motor requested assessments to identify current business conditions.o Direct budget planning and management across all HR departments by maintaining quarterly and year end financials, budget forecasts, defining business plan details, developing control measures, tracking progress, and producing monthly status reports for Executive leadership.o Supports diversity metrics and reporting of targeted activities.o Create and maintain reporting dashboards and analytics, i.e., performance and progress, to key stakeholders.o Coordinates and support external agency reporting in conjunction with service providers for EEO-1 and AAP.o Leads and coordinates HR SOX, corporate audit, risk, and compliance and administer reporting requirements. * HR Technology:o Maintain reporting relationships across divisions, particularly IT, Procurement, and Finance, to ensure delivery of HR programs and scope new technologieso Gather HR program initiatives aligned with business planning functions and provide direction to unit leader in delivery and implementation of solutions.o Works with unit leader to manage vendor relations, ensure improvements, enhancements, and meet changing business needs.o Compiles or assists with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and HR staff. * Japan Operations:o Provide ongoing payroll support and general service support for inpat population.o Coordinate and support business requirements and changes impacting inpats in assigned locations.o Coordinate HR programs, training, and requirements, including home office requirementso Educate inpats about requirements, protocols, policies, programs, provide counsel and guidance as necessary.o Coordinate with legal to support visa administration and leaves are executed in a timely manner and according to regulatory requirements. * Leadership:o Leads the department and achievement of key business plan initiatives and daily operations.o Ensures effective resource management and execution of performance management and team member development. Who we are seeking:Required Work Experience:* 10+ years in multiple Human Resource functions* 5+ years of experience in a management or leadership function* 5+ years of experience in business planning / strategy Required Education:* Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field preferred* Advanced degree, or certification, highly preferredDesired skills:* Strong verbal and written communication* Interpersonal skills and ability to incorporate technical requirements* Analytical and problem-solving skills* Ability to set clearly defined goals, metrics, key performance indicators, and service level agreements* Project management* MS Office suite of software, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Additional Position Factors:* Workstyle: Hybrid * Travel: 5% At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.
