OVERVIEW:The Quality Specialist will provide OTC drug quality assurance and compliance in support of the Bayer-BMC ongoing quality agreement. This includes direct support for Bayer and BMC manufactured products retained until expiration per FDA requirements. Responsible for stability sample administration, document archival, consumer complaints and retain sample management. RESPONSIBILITIESQuality Management - 3PMsSupport the 3PM Quality Manager as needed to ensure OTC drug and cosmetic quality assurance and compliance support for all Beiersdorf brands within the US market3PM Quality KPI monitoringPerform Audits of 3PM sitesAudit CAPA follow upLaboratory adequacy, including stability review and laboratory investigationsReview and Approve 3PM APRsChange ControlDeviation Management Stability Sample AdministrationManage the ongoing test for FG (Bayer, BMC and 3PM)Generate all stability testing reportsSupport the ongoing, annual product review (APR) reviews and final APR reports via data compilation, entry or verification.Perform document archival management (Bayer and BMC) - hard copies and system dataManage transfer of knowledge on document retrieval, batch record archival and SOP archivalOOS identification and reporting deviationsAccess validation records as necessaryHandle all consumer complaints for Bayer and BMC products already manufactured and, on the marketSupport Customer and Consumer complaints tracking, reporting, CAPA, and PPM trend reductionMonitor and follow-up on root cause analysis and CAPAManage the retain samples stored at a 3rd party site in compliance to cGMP and Beiersdorf quality standardsServiceEstablish strong relationships with peers and work cross-functionally with all local and international departments including planning, purchasing, new products team, customer service, finance, sales, packaging, and marketing counterparts.Take the initiative to identify, lead, and establish continuous improvement practices that improve the performance of the Quality Management processesREQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in technical discipline. Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Microbiology, or Chemistry preferred.7+ years consumer products/OTC drug Quality Compliance / Assurance experience. Travel: 10% 3PM management travel expectedWeekly/Bi-weekly visits and capability to work from retain storage location (Cleveland, TN) requiredWorking knowledge of cGMP and overall FDA requirements and guidelines for OTC and Cosmetic productsStrong oral and written communication skills; excellent and effective follow-up skillsDetail oriented and well-organized approach to managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills; exercise good judgment and decision makingContinuous improvement mind-setResilient, able to keep composure during challenging situations.
