For more information about the company and product line visit: Position Summary:The Process Engineer designs, builds, and maintains processes and assembly line layouts for current & new products, focusing on maximizing space and efficiency. Collaborates with other teams to ensure design of process and product supports quality and manufacturability requirements. Dynamically solves problems to drive production throughput to meet goals and ensure team and organizational success.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Engineering Responsibilities:*Design, create, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes using lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban systems and visual controls to maximize efficiency and reduce wastePerform consistent time studies, line level-loading, and router maintenance to improve long term line efficiencies. *Create, implement, and maintain support systems for KPIs and use KPI outputs to drive decisionsDevelop, maintain, manage, and train on ISO Work Instructions for process training, assembly training, specific certification criteria on machines, semi-automated and automated processes within standard assembly line procedures, and NPI programs.*Maintain critical fixturing and production line performance.*Complete Root Cause Analysis on production issues and quickly implement short and long-term solutions to address issues.*Generate and build line layouts within planned timeframes for New Product Introductions.*Assemble and disassemble production optics using production tooling and processes.Education and/or Experience:*Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.*5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.*Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.*Proficiency in Solidworks and Microsoft Office.*Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.*Strong organization and management skills.*High level of technical expertise.*Strong analytical thinker.*Firearms manufacturing candidates strongly considered.Working Conditions:*Able to lift up to 25 pounds.*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.SIG SAUER, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis covered by appropriate law.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
