DescriptionGAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to work with the Power Generation Business Sector on primarily renewable energy projects and when needed other regional projects. GAI Consultants, Inc. offers its employees, upon approval by supervisors, the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setting, and this position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's environment. Your responsibilities in this position will include civil site work, including design, permitting, construction activities as well as beginning to develop client management and business development strategies.The candidate should be driven and be seeking the opportunity to: Work on energy-related projects with a focus on renewablesAssist with leading civil site engineering tasksAssist with interfacing with clients on civil site tasksAssist with leading assigned project teamsAssist with development of civil site proposalsAssist with task management on assigned projects (schedules, budgets, and quality of work) The candidate will work on civil site engineering tasks including: Site Grading PlansErosion and Sediment Control PlansStormwater Management PlansHydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage PlansUtility Design and Relocation PlansMaintenance and Protection of Traffic PlansGeotechnical InvestigationsPermit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)Access Road Section DevelopmentConstruction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control PlansConstruction Cost EstimatesOwner's Engineer Support During ConstructionField Investigations Why GAI: At GAI, exceptional people have an exceptional place to work, grow, lead, and achieve.
