For more information about Crum & Forster, please visit our website: Job Description Senior Project Manager-Infrastructure Information about the Role, Line of Business and Team: The Senior Project Manager will support the Infrastructure/Networking team within the Commercial Lines and Executive Risk division. The role provides project management expertise and oversight of concurrent small to large-sized projects primarily focused on IT infrastructure and networking, cyber security, and operations. The Sr. Project Manager will have an entrepreneurial mindset, understand how projects are aligned to strategic goals and be a change agent within the organization. The Senior Project Manager leads selection of appropriate project methodology; establishes a project plan in collaboration with project stakeholders; builds and motivates a self-directing project team; facilitates project execution, monitoring, controlling, reporting, removes roadblocks, and closes the project in a disciplined fashion. What you will do: Plan:Ensure project objectives and scope, including quality of deliverables, are well defined and understood by project team and stakeholdersEstablish initiative approach and methodology - agile, traditional or hybridFacilitate and lead workshops/meetings with cross functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives Where required, work with vendor management to secure third-party staff augmentation or consulting servicesEnsure right resources and build motivated self-directing teams. Identify and estimate the resources and participants required to achieve project goals. Work with resources and leadership to secure and plan for availability of resourcesProvide recommendations to senior management as to the number of resources required to complete assigned projects and when capacity is full, explore third party options along with managing and prioritizing a backlog of projects along with stakeholder expectations Monitor/Measure and Control: Develop schedule and monitor progress: planned, actual, and projectedMonitor project resources: planned, actual, and projectedPrepare business cases, where required, to justify initiatives and their investmentIdentify and mitigate project risks and roadblocks; exploit opportunitiesProvide key performance indicators / benchmarks to monitor project successPartner with team members to influence positive action and accountability for their assigned workCommunicate:Establish and manage communications strategy for core team and stakeholdersLead lessons learned throughout the projectInitiate and participate in knowledge sharing activities and best practices, including guilds, to further develop the project management competency within the organizationServe as the conduit between technical teams and senior management and be able to articulate concepts in both business and technical terms What YOU will bring to C&F:Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is requiredPMP designation preferred or equivalent demonstrable experienceStrong understanding of agile values and frameworks8 + year's project management experienceProject Portfolio Management experience, a plus but not requiredInsurance experience a plus, but not required Experience in IT infrastructure or cyber security is preferredExperience with different project management approaches e.g., agile and waterfallContinuous improvement / best practice mindsetTeam playerProblem solving aptitudeStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointProject Management Skills: Proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects at the same timeExperience with infrastructure and networking projects; tech savvyAbility to consolidate information and provide condensed executive level reportingStrong knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira or other project management applicationsCommunication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills and stakeholder managementProficiency in effectively driving change and garnering support from stakeholders and leadership #LI-MS #LI-REMOTE What C&F will bring to you Competitive compensation packageGenerous 401K employer matchEmployee Stock Purchase plan with employer matchingGenerous Paid Time OffExcellent benefits that go beyond health, dental & vision. Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $111,100 to a maximum of $185,100. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
