Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Principal Investigator of the Heme Malignancies Clinical Research Program, we are seeking a Data Assistant,who will be responsible for assisting the clinical research staff in the Heme Malignancies Cancer Program of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. Will work closely with the PI and study coordinator supervisor on various cancer trials projects.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with data collection and entry (e.g., obtaining medical records and results, database entry)Prepare for patient visits (e.g., research sample kit preparation and inventory, study document photocopying, CRF binder/folder preparation).Responsible for general office duties (e.g., faxing, filing, copying, delivery).May take part in collecting/dispersing information, including questionnaires from research participants.Special Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust adhere to guidelines regarding honest reporting of sensitive and confidential patient information.Understands the importance/impact of data integrity in terms of patients, study results, costs, quality of service and scientific research in general.Regular contact with physicians, other health care personnel and occasionally, patients, requires the use of good judgment, tact and sensitivity.Knowledge of PC operation, understanding of MS Word and Excel desired.Organizational skills and attention to detail required.Ability to follow multiple, detailed directions of various assignments.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or graduation equivalent.Some related work experience.Classified Title: Data AssistantRole/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/01/CAStarting Salary Range: $15.00-$17.35-$19.50 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)Employee group: Casual / On CallSchedule: M-F-variesExempt Status:Non-ExemptLocation:School of Medicine CampusDepartment name: SOM Onc Hematologic MalignanciesPersonnel area: School of MedicineTotal RewardsThe referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting.
