Inside the RoleThe Business Development Manager, National Accounts Insurance acts as a strategic advisor to existing and potential clients in the identification of risk management solutions. This role is responsible for generating opportunities and focusing on increasing company revenue through new business, retention, and relationship development, with focus upon dealer corporate opportunities, including property, casualty, auto, business interruption and related products. You will research and analyze the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models. You will assist financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business opportunities and collaborate with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans, specific to building out dealer corporate insurance portfolio. This position will report directly to the Director of Insurance Products and will be expected to develop reports and plans, analyze risk/insurance problems, make recommendations to senior level management, and oversee the implementation of the appropriate risk solutions. This is a sales position and the goals and results will be measured frequently as a benchmark for success. Collaboration:* National Accounts Vocational team collaborates with our brand and dealer partners to offer unique finance and insurance solutions to over 50 vocational fleet customers that range from Truck Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs) in Fire & Rescue to Concrete Mixer upfits and everything in between.* National Accounts On-Highway Fleet team is responsible for over 20 of the largest North American commercial vehicle fleets both direct with the customer (8) and through the Freightliner / Western Star truck dealer network.* Primary focus of the National Accounts team is solving our customer's problems and offering unique solutions to be a value adding partner for our customers.This is a DTFS Band 92 position. This position will require up to 75% travel.We Take Care of Our TeamBenefits include 401kcompany contribution with company match up to6% as well as non-elective company contribution of3 - 7% depending on age;starting at 4 weeks paidvacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paidparental leave; employee assistance program;comprehensive healthcare plans and wellnessprograms; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuitionassistance and volunteer paid time off; short-termand long-term disability plans.What You Drive at DTFS:Works with marketing, sales, and client delivery teams to implement business development initiatives focused on what are referred to as National Accounts programs with the common goal of driving revenue (35%)Partner with Point Of Sale, Corporate Insurance Manager and Senior Manager National Accounts and Sales Operations as a team to develop joint marketing centric approaches to maximize revenueMarket, service, or promote DTIA's National Accounts business opportunities and engage in business development activitiesDevelop business by contacting or networking with prospective clients within the National Accounts space and by maintaining relationships with sources of leads and referrals (25%)Make presentations at trade associations, seminars, and other gatherings where current and prospective DTIA clients participateAssist the Manager of Insurance Products with risk management programs to protect National Account Fleets, corporate stakeholders, dealers and customersDevelop corporate loss prevention programs to reduce claims exposure and optimize policy premiumsDevelop strategic solutions for target accounts, referral partners and channel partners that are aligned with the DTIA/DTFS value proposition (25%)Support a team-based environment that reinforces Daimler's core values of intelligence, integrity, consistency, energy, advocacy, service, and respectManages all the new and related renewal processes internally and externally for existing and new corporate insurance policies, including but not limited to General Liability & Property, Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation, Commercial Catastrophe, Directors and Officers Liability, Bankers Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Lessor Contingent Liability, Financial Institution Binds, Cyber Liability, etc. (15%)Knowledge You Should Bring:High School Diploma or GED5+ years of experience in a sales, business development, or business managementProperty and Casualty Insurance License requiredProven track record of strategically producing revenue resultsA background with increasing levels of responsibility in marketing, product management, channels, and business developmentExperience with programs related to auto liability for large commercial truck fleets, risk management, insurance underwriting and or Claim sectors is essentialProficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.)Strong critical thinking, time management and prioritization skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and dependabilityProject management experienceExceptional Candidates Might Have:Advanced education and/or professional designations (CPCU) a plusMembership in Insurance industry organizationsExperience with Risk Management Insurance Systems database#DTFSUSAWhere We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)-Fort Mill, SC USHow We CollaborateTo continue building a great place to work for all, we are committed to a culture that creates flexibility and encourages a supportive working environment that achieves the needs of our business and employees.Schedule Type:HybridDaimler Truck Financial is the captive financial services provider for the Daimler Trucks North America family of commercial vehicle products, including Freightliner Trucks, Western Star, SelecTrucks, Sprinter Vans, Thomas Built Buses and Fuso.
