Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides direct physical care to patients encompassing the activities of daily living. Performs specific nursing procedures relevant to their scope of practice. Expected to float to any department once oriented. Students hired as Nurse Extern I have the job duties of a patient care tech or equivalent role. All competencies must be validated.
