Wireless Foreman

The Wireless Foreman performs a wide variety of manual duties in support of telecommunications construction. This role performs tasks involving physical labor at cellular tower sites. Oversees work being performed on-site. (This purpose is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.) Essential Position Functions: Responsible for providing updates, damages, issues, and daily progress reports to the project manager. Responsible for leading crew in the buildout, maintenance, and repair of carrier builds. Able to provide onsite communications with the customer, vendors, and inspectors onsite. Operate a variety of hand power, and testing tools to complete the site build. Perform inventory of site materials. Escalate issues to responsible parties. Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools; distribute to appropriate locations, according to project plans. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Perform site testing based on client requirements. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Daily timekeeping required. Complete and upload closeout documentation. Perform work following established and TrueNet mandated Safety and Health guidelines. Supervise staff in the field/job site as needed when the field supervisor is not onsite. Other duties as required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. 1+ years of telecommunications and/or roadside construction experience is preferred. Competence with hand and power tools required. Ability to read and follow engineering design maps. Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Adobe Acrobat skills preferred. Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer. Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL is preferred). Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills. Must be able to work alone, and with a team. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Ability to work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions. Must be able to work nights and weekends, as needed, to meet client needs. Ability to operate a commercial vehicle and/or pulling a trailer. Carry, set-up and extend ladders weighing up to 100 lbs. Working on aerial lifts, ladders, and at heights. Work around heavy machinery and cranes. Must be able to work in loud, noise-filled, environment out in the field. The position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
