Job Description: The Scrub Technician - Certified is responsible for the preparation of, as well as providing, technical assistance to physicians during the performance of surgical invasive procedures. Responsible for care, cleaning, and maintenance of specialized equipment instruments, supplies, and sterilization equipment. Basic patient care functions are performed within established guidelines under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.Education: High School Diploma plus 1 year of vocational schoolExperience: Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.Licenses and Certifications:Certified Scrub TechnicianQualifications:Open Heart OR experience preferred.Two (2) years of general O.R. experience is required.
