Basic FunctionThis job consists of performing duties to spray Air Handling Units and basic sheet metal parts as required. Paint in booth from man lift, ladders, floor, and assemble air handlers, pipe chases, and hoods as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESONSIBILITIES• Use spray equipment to apply paint and primers.• Responsible in selecting paint color for specific jobs.• Clean, prepare surfaces to be painted, and mask as required.• Clean, wipe up excess paint, remove masking, visually check for runs, shadows, improper coverage, touch up, and/or paint thickness.• Mixes, thins, and otherwise prepares paints for application.• Maintain supplies of paint and all related spraying equipment• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work area.• Qualified to assemble Air handling Units depending on paint work load.• Assemble pipe chases, and hoods as required.• Label Units as required• Use test equipment and perform visual quality checks• Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision.• Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules.• Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.Math AbilityAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer SkillsNo computer skills required.Certificates & LicensesForklift license required
