This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be comfortable and able to go onsite for this role as requested at their College Park, MD location. Senior Proposal Manager Role Description The Senior Proposal Manager will work within our Business Development team and take ownership of the entire proposal process, starting from developing response strategies to crafting proposal content, leading and managing proposal teams to develop and submit winning proposals on schedule. This is a highly collaborative role, as the Senior Proposal Manager will work closely with subject matter experts, leadership, proposal coordinators and writers to develop compelling and compliant proposals. Responsibilities Supervise/manage in house proposal manager/staff through training/mentoring, establishing performance goals and conducting performance evaluations. Develop a Proposal Development Center/Process and toolkit needed. Provide consistency across all proposals to ensure all processes are consistently being followed. Lead, Drive and Participate in all proposal efforts. Develop and refine all templates and standardize processes to streamline the proposal process development. Responsible for all aspects of proposal development: pre-proposal activities, kick off meetings, value proposition conveyance, theme development, schedule management, action/issue tracking, proposal structure, compliance oversight, writing instructions and team guidance, review team coordination. Ensure compliance and quality driven development /maintenance of proposal management-related artifacts for each opportunity to include kick off materials, master outline and compliance matrix, schedule, storyboards and or annotated outlines, writing instructions and templates, daily stand-up agenda, proposal team contact list, action items and color team review briefings. Collaborate with BD and Operational Leadership to obtain resources for accomplishing a high-quality proposal submission in a timely manner. Clarify, communicate, and enforce roles and responsibilities to all supporting members of the proposal effort. Oversee effort to ensure compliance and quality, collaborate with capture, SMEs, and other writers to refine proposal sections and ensure win themes are aligned and are accurate and fall within compliance.
