Technical Trainer

Description:
RCN is looking to fill a Technical Trainer Position. This position will be located in the Boston market and will be responsible for developing, administering and monitoring the technical training programs with responsibilities in the following areas field installation, service, plant maintenance training, education programs and practices. Additional responsibilities will include:-Development of training materials through detailed research, experience and needs assessment.-Design and delivery of computer-based and multimedia curriculum.-Coordination of materials and programs with other market technical training resources for consistent messaging and efficiency.-Coordination of training schedules and training resources for the market.-Provide training using these and other methods: instructor-led (classroom and hands-on), web meetings, and online delivered by the LMS (learning management system).-Development of a train the trainer program for business partners and the maintenance of charged session records to the outsourced companies.-Development of a skills based certification program for all technicians and partners.-Coordination of external vendor training to support business needs and skill development.-Maintains training records & reports on training delivered, including attendance roster.-Provides safety training to include but limited to: Ladder, Aerial Lift, First Aid CPR and AED training as needed to support companies Safety Program.-Travel to offices within the company as need to assist the market in meeting company goals and objectives.-Flexibility to travel to markets as required up to and including overnight travel 30-40% of the time to include out of state travel as required.-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.-Candidate must be outgoing, enthusiastic about Training, hardworking, resourceful, independent thinker, team player-Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience and certifications preferred.-Proficiency in MS Office applications, Learning Management Systems, Content Development, Adobe is a plus.-Must have a valid driver's license-Travel and reliable transportation required-Must have flexibility needed to work days, nights, and weekends-Must be able to lift approximately 75 lbs.Position is based Framingham, Massachusetts office.Please apply online at https://www.rcn.com/hub/about-rcn/careers/ We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
