Building Maintenance Technician II - Uptown Charlotte

Description:
The Maintenance Technician II will respond to tenant service requests and preventive maintenance work orders in a Class-A commercial office setting. Primary duties include troubleshooting, repairing, and providing service as needed to maintain office space and associated equipment.Successful candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact both verbally and in writing with building occupants, vendors, and internally at all levels of the organization. Required technical abilities include the following areas: Routine troubleshooting, maintenance, and service repairs, including but not limited to door repairs, closer repairs, lock repairs, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, tenant equipment repairs, light replacements, ballast replacements, break room equipment repairs, and other general maintenance items Pump troubleshooting and repair General mechanical maintenance including motor rebuilds and bearing replacements Qualifications Degree from a two year technical school; five years’ experience in maintenance or building operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must possess ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables.
