The Chester County Intermediate Unit is currently looking for experienced educators who are interested in making a positive impact in Pennsylvania School Improvement. The Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) schools have been identified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). There are many FT roles needed across PA on the Regional Improvement Teams to include Improvement Facilitators and Subject Matter Experts. Salary: Project Staff Band 16 ($73,907 - $92,384) 260 days, 7.5 hours per day/ 5 days per week to include full-time benefits and PSERS. Hired as a CCRES employee salary range of $105,000 - $115,000, not eligible for PSERS and includes minimum benefits. Duration of assignment is three years to include school years 2020 - 2021, 2021 - 2022, 2022 - 2023. Education: Master’s degree in education required, doctorate preferred. Other Qualifications: Minimum of five years experience serving in a school leadership position. Experience using school improvement and implementation strategies and facilitating teams. Improvement Facilitators (SIFs) will engage school leaders and school-based teams in schools located in the Western, Central, and Eastern regions of Pennsylvania in a continuous improvement process, including a facilitated self-assessment process, prioritizing strengths and needs, and conducting a root cause analysis. Using this information, the Improvement Facilitators will support the school-based teams in developing, implementing, and monitoring an improvement plan that is based on evidence-based practices. Subject Matter Experts in Math, ELA, PBIS/School Climate, Family and Community Engagement, Curriculum, and Data will use their in-depth knowledge of evidence based practices related to their specific area of expertise to provide technical assistance to school leaders and school-based teams in support of the continuous improvement process.
