We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to further grow our civil engineering services division in our Suwanee (suburban Atlanta), Georgia office. As an experienced engineer, you will be involved with civil engineering design projects, including land development, while further developing business skills needed for a successful consulting career. Additionally, you will be asked to support with business and client development, take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and mentoring tasks. Essential Functions The qualified candidate will be involved in the design of infrastructure for land development projects, such as subdivisions, warehoure/distribution centers, schools, office-retail, healthcare, and recreation developments. The candidate should be familiar with the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual and the Manual for Erosion and Sedimentation Control in Georgia.This candidate shall demonstrate competent proficiency with the following: Design of pavements, Water mains Sanitary sewers Storm sewers Stormwater management systems Stormwater pollution prevention plans Roadways Grading/earthwork Erosion control Required Experience The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation, PE License a plus. At least 2 years’ experience in land development related engineering design is required.The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in AutoCAD, strong verbal communication skills, the ability to be flexible in relation to time management and must be detail oriented. Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
