Software Developer General Motors Austin, TX Plan, design, dvlp, &test current &future SW syss &apps for GM vehicle assy, powertrain &stamping plants incldg Order Mgmt, Mfg, &Logistics syss &report data in timely fashion to qlty, materials, logistics, supply chain &production team members &leadership. Dvlp Application Program Interface (APIs) to provide services &consume REST &SOAP web services. Provide coding &design expertise in Java framework incldg microservices, REST, JPA, JTA &Spring. Provide coding &design expertise in modern JavaScript framework incldg Angular, React, Express, &Koa. Define & implement data sharing integration patterns betw. apps using Kafka, RabbitMQ, &IBM MQ Series messaging platforms. Provide coding &design expertise in OPC UA technologies to enable PLC devices communication w/ mfg IT software incldg AB PLC &Siemens PLC. Gather PLC production data through OPC UA interfaces. Required domestic travel to support go live SW at vehicle mfg facilities, up to 8 wks P/A (~15% annual travel). Bachelor, Computer, Electrical, or Mfg Engrg, or related. 12 mos exp as Engineer or Developer, dvlpg &testing SW syss &apps for vehicle assy, powertrain &stamping plants incldg Order Mgmt, Mfg, &Logistics syss.
