Marshall University School of Medicine seeks neurosurgeon to provide evaluation and care as a faculty/attending physician for patients at the employer's offices of Marshall Health in Huntington, WV, Scott Depot, WV, South Charleston, WV, and at affiliated Cabell Huntington Hospital. Also provides coverage at VA Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Responsible for clinical specialty of neurosurgery, including diagnosis and treatment. Educationally, duties include teaching students and residents in inpatient/ambulatory setting. Participate, present at Medical Grand Rounds. Participate in section meetings, committees, programs at university and hospital. Conduct research projects per scholarly activity plan. Supervise Nurse Practitioners, LPNs, CMAs, medical students, residents, RNs, Surgical Techs, CRNAs and Medical Equipment Representative. The minimum requirements are a medical degree or foreign equivalent degree, apply for and successfully obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license as of the 1st day of employment, and ABMS Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in neurological surgery.
