Rice Associates, a leading provider of public and private sector land surveys is hiring in our Richmond office: Subsurface Utility DesignatorAccurately locate all below ground utilities using multiple types of field equipment, interpret utility record drawings. Must have five years of experience in utility location.Required expertise: • Electromagnetic theory and equipment• Knowledge of utility systems.• QA/QC of utility mapping.Preferred experience:• Obtaining records from utility owners.• Operating Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).• Operating RTK and or Total Station surveying equipment. • Completion of Utility Locator training courses.Other Requirements:• Valid driver's license and clear driving record.• Drug Testing• Able to work outdoors in all weather.• Overtime and overnight travel as required.• High School Degree/Equivalent.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
