SCHOOL NURSE P/T TEMP School Nurse ESY Company: Tuolumne County Superintendent of SchoolsDEFINITION: Under direction of the SELPA Executive Director or designee, provides school health and nursing services to the public school community in Tuolumne County. Special Education students with moderate to severe disables.ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS: 1. Serves as a resource and consultant to school personnel, pupils and parents with regard to the health needs of children 2. Supervises duties and activities of school nurse aide 3. Maintains a working relationship with public and private agencies providing health-related services to children 4. Conducts a special health assessment, as needed, which may include a developmental and health history, home/environment assessment, neurological assessment and a review of all pertinent medical information 5. Participates as the health specialist on the multi-disciplinary team which works to develop the Individual Education Plan (IEP) and oversees the implementation of IEP goals for specialized physical health care services 6. Provides instruction and ongoing supervision of personnel providing specialized physical health careREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Valid California Teaching credential Registered Nurse with a Bachelor Degree Valid California Driver’s license RN with a BSN interested in working towards a credential in school nursing TIME PERIOD: Position is June 15, 2020 to July 3, 2020, Five (5) days a week, 5.5 hours a daySALARY: Appropriate placement on the certificated salary scheduleThe following items are required in order to be considered for this position: - Letter of application outlining your interest in and qualifications for this position. - Completed certificated application form - Resume of professional experience - Two recent letters of recommendationOpen until filled.Apply on EdJoin.org recblid 0abkcrbrye5i0ru8jojnvdnnges1us
