Job Details: Full Time Position, Rochester Distribution Area; Monday through Friday Job Summary: Responsible for merchandising as well as building relationships with a variety of retailers to increase sales by encouraging new item acceptance, prime shelf placement, secondary displays and promotions within the Rochester Distribution areas. Maintain relationships with customers that enables growth. Area Specific: Must be willing to travel; Must be able to push/pull/steer a cart of product weighing 350 lbs; Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Place orders, rotate and pack out Byrne ice cream at customer sites. Responsible for completing spreadsheet applications and reporting on metrics. Assist customer in ordering product, rotate and pack out Byrne Brand, Byrne bi-products and Byrne pint coolers. Inform customer of new Byrne label products with the intent to up-sell and obtain improved placement in stores. Inspect and clean all Byrne equipment within stores assigned. Communicate effectively both verbal and written to all sales and management personnel. Ensure all customer orders for accuracy and communicate with sales team and drivers any discrepancies. Maintain and update plan-o-grams as needed in accordance to customer needs. Check Cooler and Freezer temperatures in accordance to ADA (American Dairy Association) guidelines. Monitor back stock in customer Coolers and Freezers, communicate to sales team and drivers of over stocks and out-of dates. Provide feedback to Driver Supervisor(s) regarding Customer service issues. Respond to customer requests quickly and professionally; Promote and provide excellent customer service with all customers. Education and Experience: HS Diploma or GED required, college degree strongly preferred Knowledge of Microsoft office Suite Minimum 2 years experience in merchandising and/or related experience Experience working in retail / sales required; CPG industry experience strongly preferred Skills and Competencies: Ability to trust, develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support Ability to communicate with customers, coworkers, management team members and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to have an attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously Adheres to Company Policy and Procedures.
