Responsibilities: Duties will include teaching undergraduate courses in vocal/choral music education methods and directing the Case Concert Choir and an additional ensemble. Other duties, dependent on qualifications and departmental needs, may include directing an additional ensemble or teaching additional undergraduate and graduate courses. The teaching load is 5 courses/year (2 one semester, 3 one semester) in addition to a substantial department service role including ensemble management, mentoring choral music education students, recruiting for the choir and the music education program, and interfacing with local schools through guest clinics, observations, etc. About the Department of Music at CWRU: The successful candidate for this position will add to a vibrant team of music scholars, artists, and educators. CWRU and The Cleveland Institute of Music cooperate in a Joint Music Program, providing students with the advantages of both a conservatory and a major research university.
