Our client, Missouri Slope Areawide United Way in Bismarck, ND, seeks to hire a proven leader as its Shelter Director. This position is responsible for leading and managing day-to-day activities to ensure the emergency shelter is performing efficiently and effectively. Duties also include grant writing, program development, and supervision of staff along with other functions as assigned. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field or five plus years’ experience working in a human services position. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with others. The ability to be on call to assist by phone or in person is essential to this position.
