Manager of Trauma Performance Improvement

The Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) seeks an enthusiastic nurse with performance improvement (PI) experience to advance trauma PI efforts throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have expertise in education and a passion for supporting hospitals in optimizing their trauma PI programs. A knowledge of data analysis and PTSF software will be essential in order to guide the ongoing development of PTSF's central PI database and provide analytical expertise on PI initiatives.The Manager of Trauma Performance Improvement oversees organization-wide efforts to implement and evaluate a data-driven Trauma Performance Improvement Program throughout Pennsylvania. This position facilitates hospital based and statewide performance improvement activities and works with partnering organizations to use multiple sources of data to advance quality, timeliness and efficiency of care for injured patients. This individual will will have a lead role in Pennsylvania's statewide TQIP Collaborative.PTSF offers excellent benefits including the opportunity for remote work and professional growth both statewide and nationally. Interested applicants must have : Baccalaureate nursing degree Working knowledge of performance improvement methodology Experience in trauma center/trauma system performance improvement and/or educating new and existing trauma centers on methods of optimizing care and operations Working knowledge of trauma registry and performance improvement databases A minimum of three years clinical experience, and two years performance improvement experience Experience with current methodologies for capturing and identifying metrics of key performance indicators Knowledge of implementing and evaluating performance improvement initiatives Project management and organizational skills Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Strong analytic and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service skills Proficient use of standard word processing/spreadsheet software packages Availability for overnight, work-related travel Valid driver's license Preferred requirements include : Master's degree in Nursing, Epidemiology, Health Care Administration, Public Health or related field of study Working knowledge/familiarity with Collector Trauma Registry and Outcomes software recblid isk74x4lott9zkrachch8gnyqlre8a BA/BS/Undergraduate
