Maintenance Technician I

Description:
Maintenance Technician 1 This position is responsible for maintaining the road, water, sanitary and storm water infrastructure for the City of Wyoming. Examples of work include snow plowing, repairing broken water mains, responding to sewer backups, pouring concrete, and other similar work. Various tools and equipment used include hydro-excavators, dump trucks, backhoes and other specialized equipment. Employees must be able to respond to emergencies, work individually or in a crew setting, and work outdoors in a variety of adverse environmental conditions. Employees are expected to progressively gain experience in a diversity of infrastructure maintenance operations, be able to plan, prioritize and organize a diverse workload, and obtain licenses such as a CDL, pesticide or water distribution license. Employees are also required to complete work related to fire and rescue services. The employee must currently hold or have the ability to be trained and certified at a minimum level of Firefighter II and Hazmat Operations. recblid bectfqq44503fb4e59h7v4iw9vl2cc
